I’ve never been a fan of Christmas. Dealing with my loud, eggnog-drunk family and their friends is a nightmare for my introverted self. And then there’s Gavin, my older brother’s charming but flirtatious best friend. He’s as handsome as they come, but he’s also quite the player. Every year, he jokingly flirts with me, and every year I try to ignore his insincere advances. Not this time. This Christmas, I decide to call his bluff.

To my surprise, Gavin doesn’t hesitate when I challenge him to show me what he’s got. Before I know it, we’re in my childhood treehouse, and the result is not quite what I expected. Disappointed, I try to move on, but Gavin shows up at my apartment the next day, asking for a do-over. I’m hesitant, but his remorseful expression sways me. I believe in second chances, and he more than redeems himself. Now, he’s in my bed more often than not.

As the world finds out that Gavin, rugby’s biggest player, has fallen, I’m left to wonder what’s next.
